Jaqueline Vojta was born in Petrópolis and lives in Rio de Janeiro. Graduated in Economics from PUC-RJ, she studied at the School of Visual Arts of Parque Lage (EAV) from 1998 to 2000. Between 2001 and 2007, she lived in New York, where she completed her Master's degree in Art History at Hunter College- City University of New York and worked at MoMA PS1. In 2017 she attended the Skye Photo Academy in Scotland.

 

Jaqueline exhibits her work regularly. She has exhibited at the Paço Imperial, in Rio de Janeiro, and Paço das Artes, in São Paulo, participated in the group shows Art Link- International Young Art and P((ART)ies in New York and Posição 2004 at EAV, Rio de Janeiro. In 2007 had a first one person show, at the Cultural Center of Federal Justice. She was selected by the Rumos Itaú Cultural program in 2009/2010 and participated in the exhibition Trilhas do Desejo in São Paulo, Curitiba and Rio de Janeiro. In 2010 she also presented a solo exhibition at Largo das Artes, Rio de Janeiro. In 2013 she received the III Itamaraty Contemporary Art Award. In 2015 she presented his first exhibition of photographs at the Mercedes Viegas Gallery, Rio de Janeiro, RJ. In 2017 her photographs were present at the exhibition The state of the Art at Instituto Figueiredo Ferraz, Ribeirão Preto, SP. 

 

From 2018 she also began to photograph portraits, families, and fashion shoots.
